Infiniti urges applications to Bahrain academy by Oct 25

MANAMA, October 21, 2019

Infiniti Motor is encouraging engineering students in Bahrain to apply to the 2019 edition of the Infiniti Engineering Academy for the Middle East Final by October 25 for a chance to win an internship in automotive and Formula 1 engineering.

The programme has witnessed a 125% increase in applications from students in Bahrain in comparison to 2018, an Infiniti statement said.

This unique professional placement gives students looking to go into automotive and motorsport engineering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with leading engineers at Infiniti and Renault F1 Team.

Being the only automotive-to-motorsport engineering recruitment program of its kind in the world, it enables students to gain experience in both the premium automotive and Formula 1 industries, with a six months placement at the Infiniti Technical Centre Europe and a further six months at the Renault F1 Team Technical Centre in the UK.

“The Infiniti Engineering Academy in its sixth consecutive year remains the only program of its kind. There simply is no other program out there offering such a unique, fast-track path into a prestigious international engineering career in automotive and Formula 1,” said Markus Leithe, managing director, Infiniti Middle East.

“We are proud to have witnessed a surge in the number of students from Bahrain applying to the Academy in comparison to 2018. With the deadline approaching, we continue to encourage more talented students from Bahrain to apply to the Academy for their chance to win this one-of-a-kind career opportunity.”

Throughout the selection process, students will be tested and shortlisted through a number of tasks that will assess their current knowledge of the technicalities of automotive engineering, as well as their soft skills. The winner will then be granted a one-year internship at the Infiniti Technical Centre Europe and with Renault F1 Team.

The Academy will select one engineering student from the Middle East currently studying in a regional university to partake in the program. The Middle East winner will join another six winners from other regions (Asia & Oceania, Canada, China, Europe, Mexico and USA) for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain experience working on both automotive and Formula 1 technologies.

Students from Bahrain can submit their applications by visiting academy.infiniti.com. The selection process involves completing a two-step registration process, passing a series of online tests, a video conference interview, and finally attending an assessment day. – TradeArabia News Service
