Getex 2015 ...... top education exhibition

35,000 visitors to attend Dubai education event

DUBAI, April 14, 2015

More than 350 education providers from 38 countries will gather in order to showcase their latest offerings before an expected 35,000 visitors at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (Getex) 2015, to be held in Dubai, UAE.

The 27th edition of the Middle East’s most comprehensive education and training exhibition, will highlight the most diverse array of regional and global education and training options, said a statement.

The event will kick-off tomorrow (April 15), at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

University representatives will use the Getex platform to highlight their academic programmes before prospective students and parents in the hopes of driving up their admission numbers.

Learners across all age groups, backgrounds and interests are also expected to visit Getex to look for higher or specialised education options that could lead them to their desired career path or up the career ladder.

Anselm Godinho, managing director, International Conferences and Exhibitions (IC&E), organiser of Getex, said: “The annual Getex is a highly anticipated event in the calendar of student recruitment exhibitions worldwide.

“It serves the needs of the local student community and offers education providers the opportunity to personally engage with aspiring students. Furthermore, it gives students the opportunity to compare the various study alternatives available to them, evaluate fee structures, and get information that is crucial to their decision making process,” he said.

“Getex also provides an open platform where learners can seek advice from career guidance counsellors who will be on hand to provide their professional services to students,” he added.

Among the highlights of this year’s edition are the Getex Counsellor’s Forum, a professional development platform designed for counsellors by counsellors; the Getex Career Advisory session, an initiative for providing school-leaving students the opportunity to seek counsel with career leaders and advisors.

Additionally, the Getex-sponsored ‘International Universities Networking Conference Middle East & Africa 2015’ (IUNC Middle East & Africa 2015), an event that will connect more than 300 international education providers looking for value-added business-to-business networking opportunities, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
