Bahrain University has become the 2014-15 CFA Institute Research Challenge winner in the kingdom, beating competitor universities in a close final hosted by CFA Society Bahrain.

The competing teams researched the operation and financial performance of Zain Bahrain, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The winning team will represent Bahrain at the EMEA regional competition, to be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on April 2.

The winners of the EMEA regional final will compete at the global finals in Atlanta, Georgia, US in April.

The competition featured four teams from top local universities, including Ahlia University, Bahrain Institute of Banking, Royal University for Women and the University of Bahrain.
