Tariq and Khan at the signing ceremony

CUCA and R Hotels ink deal on hospitality programme

AJMAN, February 17, 2015

The City University College of Ajman (CUCA) has signed a collaboration agreement with leading hospitality group R Hotels for its Hotel Management and Tourism (HTM) programme.

The agreement was signed by Imran Khan, president, CUCA, and Sumair Tariq, managing director, R Hotels, during an official ceremony held at CUCA campus. The agreement seeks to provide better training and employment opportunities to the HTM programme students of CUCA.

R Hotels has agreed to provide the students of the HTM programme at CUCA with valuable experience in the field through internships and on-site trainings at its hotel properties, thus enhancing their employability, and exposing them to the international standards in the industry.

“R Hotels focuses on human capital as it is the core asset in the hospitality sector. Our hotels are heavily invested in staff training and development and our partnership with CUCA will further our initiatives in tapping the talents of future hospitality and tourism professionals,” Tariq said.

R Hotels, the hospitality management division of the Ajman-based R Holding, currently owns and manages four hotels across the UAE namely: Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Ramada Downtown Dubai, Ramada Hotel and Suite Ajman and Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, with another property being added to the portfolio in summer 2015, and a four-star hotel resort at Palm Jumeirah in 2016. – TradeArabia News Service
