Seminar puts spotlight on effective leadership

Leading experts discussed effective leadership and its success factors at a key seminar hosted by Medpoint Design and Events Management in Bahrain.

The seminar "Lead to Success" was held at the Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport First Deputy Chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

It was conducted by international speaker Prof Colin Coulson-Thomas, the author of 'Winning Companies; Winning People.'

An experienced and sought after speaker, Prof Coulson-Thomas draws on his experience in business as well as from his research which has been commissioned by major corporations, business schools and governments.

He enlightened the delegates by sharing valuable tips and information on critical success factors for effective leadership for competing and winning and the most cost effective ways of increasing team, work group and corporate performance.

He also highlighted affordable routes to high performance teams, work groups and organisations, effective communication and engagement, and providing learning and performance support to simultaneously deliver multiple objectives.

The guest speaker was Ahlia University president Professor Abdulla Al Hawaj, who shared his views on leadership.

Around 150 delegates from various companies including Bapco, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, Ramee Group of Hotels, Silah Gulf, BisB, Intercol, LuLu hypermarket, Al Zain Jewellery, First Motors and Euro Motors and UAE Exchange attended and benefited from the Labour Ministry event.
