French business team to visit UAE, Qatar

Dubai, June 25, 2012

A delegation of 11 French companies are visiting the UAE and Qatar to seek new business opportunities and explore the two growing markets.

Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Seine-et- Marne in collaboration and coordination with UBIFRANCE agency UAE/Qatar and the French Business Council, the aim of this visit is to organise a business gathering for French companies seeking to develop partnerships and to have a better idea of the market and identify potential partners to develop their business, said a statement.

The delegation, which will visit the two states from June 25 to 28, will first visit the UAE (Dubai) and then head to Qatar (Doha).

Fatma Yasar, head of the delegation from The Chamber of Commerce said:  “The French infatuation with the Middle East is increasing. Therefore the CCI of Seine-et- Marne has defined this business trip as priority”.

Isabelle Leroy, director of the French Business Council, Dubai and the Northern Emirates said:  for each visiting company the FBC has leveraged their network of French and local businesses in Dubai to set up meetings and networking opportunities with a variety of key players such as du, Dnata, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alcatel, Orange Business, Deloitte and more. We hope this visit will strengthen business collaboration between France and Dubai.'

François Sporrer, director of UBIFRANCE UAE-Qatar, said: “An increasing number of French companies are returning to the UAE and Qatar since late 2011. What is new and very interesting is that now the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) themselves rank the UAE and Qatar among their top priorities. Other chambers of commerce and industry have already planned other delegations by the end of the year.”

A wide spectrum of products, including bioclimatic architectures, risk management and back-office software, the latest technology of LED lightning, luxury shoes for women, products for luxury cinema such as amplifiers, speakers, 3D sounds technologies and processors, deployment of mobile network base stations, radiation protection for medical uses, IT solutions for the rental and fleet management markets, will all be part of the delegation. – TradeArabia News Service
