Bahrain money supply growth races in July

Manama, September 8, 2011

Bahrain's M3 money supply growth accelerated to 2.7 per cent year-on-year at the end of July, rebounding from a 20-month low of 1.6 per cent seen in the previous month, the Gulf country's central bank data showed on Thursday.

Growth in M3 decelerated rapidly from its peak of 39 per cent in March 2008 to almost zero in October 2009, but has since started to rise again, the report added.-Reuters
