Kuwait City, November 22, 2009

Opec member Kuwait is expected to base its 2010/11 budget on a crude oil price of $43 a barrel, up 22.8 percent from the previous fiscal year, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

In the previous fiscal year when started on April 1, the world's fourth-largest oil exporter has assumed its main revenue earner would fetch $35 a barrel.

Technical committees at the ministry of finance approved the assumed price of $43 a barrel on Saturday, Al-Watan newspaper said without identifying the source of the report or giving further details. - Reuters
