Kuwait road development project work 96pc complete

KUWAIT CITY, February 5, 2021

Kuwaiti authorities said the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges linking the residential areas within Sabah Al Ahmad and Al Khairan is moving as per schedule with 96 per cent of the project already completed.  
 
The scope of work includes  construction of 17 intersections involving a total length of 130 km, most of which is an overpass to ensure smooth traffic flow with a roundabout at ground level to ease the connection between cities, reported Arab Times, citing a senior official.
 
"The project is proceeding at a steady pace to modernise and develop the road system in the country, in addition to other road projects implemented by the Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART), which in turn will contribute to realize Kuwait’s new vision," remarked Engineer Munira Hassan.
 
"This project is one of the important projects, and aims to develop the roads linking the city of Sabah Al Ahmad and Al Khairan residential city, and make good the existing roads and build modern roads according to the standard designs of highways," she added.
