DUBAI, November 25, 2020

Bilfinger Middle East, a leading engineering and industrial services provider, highlighted its energy transition capabilities and range of sustainable hydrogen energy solutions at the 11th Arab German Energy Forum held recently.

The two-day digital conference, held in partnership with Ghorfa Arab German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, brought together CEOs, industry leaders, and energy experts who discussed the challenges and opportunities of decarbonizing the energy sector.

During the event, Bilfinger showcased its expertise and capabilities in providing sustainable hydrogen energy solutions to Arab countries.

As we transition into a sustainable and future-proof energy supply that is less dependent on fossil fuels, industrial organizations play a major role in the transition of nations and governments, said experts at the event.

This is where global companies like Bilfinger have an important role to play, to lead the process, nurture innovation, and investments for a sustainable future towards a low carbon energy system, they added.

Bilfinger has gained experience in the field of energy transition by delivering a comprehensive portfolio of products and services where it has further developed its capabilities and references in newer technologies such as the production of green hydrogen, various power-to-liquid processes as well as carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), said a senior official.

This enables Bilfinger to help its customers focus on their core competencies and to take advantage of the many opportunities presented by the energy transition,  Charles Price, Global Development Director, Bilfinger SE.

In the Energy Transition Forum, Bilfinger highlighted its key contribution towards Hydrogen potential in the Middle East landscape. With a region best known for its prowess in Oil & Gas production, it now has plans to transition to a new future committed towards Hydrogen and other low carbon emission solutions.

During one of the panel sessions focused on hydrogen and its potential in Arab countries, Bilfinger emphasized how it is able to lead hydrogen opportunities and focus on exporting H2 energy using safe means to global consumer markets.

“I believe the region and its leadership has the vision and ambition to become not just a consumer but a major exporter to other regions of high energy demand such as Europe & Far East – it has the perfect conditions, location, and sun.” stated Price.

Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, General Secretary Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Bilfinger possesses and has a proven track record of its capability and skills to develop mega-scale projects and support governments and organizations in their strategy towards energy transition.

"We hope that fruitful collaborations result to strengthen and expand business relations," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
