Khidmah upskills over 2,500 employees in first year of ops

DUBAI, 25 days ago

Khidmah, one of the region’s leading facilities management companies, said it has successfully trained and upskilled more than 2,500 new and existing employees during the  last twelve months.

The trainings have been conducted by the company’s dedicated Khidmah Training Centre, inaugurated in September last year, and delivered more than 15,000 training hours across multiple Hard and Soft Facilities Management services.

Executive Director Maher Al Aghbar said: "We at Khidmah have always believed that continuous training and development of our people is critical to our success and ability to achieve excellence in service delivery."

"Our dedicated state-of-the-art training facility in Abu Dhabi has enabled us to remain at the forefront of the facilities management industry and ensure our technical staff are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to ensure service excellence while protecting the health and safety of residents in our managed communities," he noted.

Al Aghbar pointed out that the Khidmah Training Centre had expanded its courses and trainings throughout the year to adjust to market dynamics and add value to its service offering including disinfection and sanitisation services.

The centre is divided into zones that replicate real-life work scenarios that focus on different hard and soft FM disciplines including mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, cleaning, maintenance, and customer service skills among others.

The facility had also been training staff on the proper use of disinfection and sanitisation materials considering increased demand for such professional services.

"As an organization that currently provides its services to more than 80 large-scale projects across the UAE, we have a huge responsibility to only deliver the best. The Khidmah Training Centre is helping us continue our growth journey and contribute to the FM sector in the UAE and the region," observed Al Aghbar.

The Khidmah Training Centre is led by certified trainers who deliver training courses and certifications to Khidmah staff including The British Institute of Cleaning Science certification (BICSc), he added.-TradeArabia News Service
