SSH working on Emaar’s Creek Beach District masterplan

DUBAI, May 29, 2019

SSH, a leading master planning, infrastructure, building design and construction supervision company in the region, said it is working on the masterplan for the Creek Beach District, a first-of-its-kind urban beach in the middle of Dubai Creek Harbour being developed by Emaar.

As the lead consultant on the project, SSH’s scope of work includes providing full multidisciplinary services as lead consultant comprising architecture, MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) contract, structures and public realm co-ordination.

On completion, the Creek Beach District will be an urban city that will provide a lifestyle experience unlike anywhere else in Dubai.

Flanked by the Ras Al Khor Wildlife sanctuary, this waterfront development with spectacular views towards the Dubai skyline, will act as an integral link between the Calatrava-designed Dubai Creek Tower & Plaza, and Creek Island Dubai developments within the Dubai Creek Harbour district.

With the buildings identified in the masterplan as low to mid-rise, the multilayered design intent creates a pedestrian-friendly zone at a human scale that encourages shopping, socialising and relaxing, said the statement from SSH.

The vision is to create a modern interpretation of an old Middle Eastern city, comprising a vibrant ground level with residents living above, it added.

Featuring a network of courtyard, walkways and family-oriented waterfront area, all well equipped with vibrant community spaces, including commercial, retail and F&B (food and beverage) facilities, Creek Beach will be home to a varied range of residential units.

The district will be interspersed with extensive public, communal and private amenities. A hotel will also bring the benefits of a hospitality component to the development,. said the statement.

According to SSH, the district will be built in two phases covering a total GFA (gross floor area) of 343,700 sq m.

Emaar is carrying out a phased rollout of residential clusters to market as development progresses, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
