Al Zamil unit offers composite materials manhole covers

MANAMA, April 24, 2019

Saudi Arabia-based Al Zamil Industry, Trade and Transport Company is showcasing its horizontal tanks, filtration units and a new generation of manhole covers made from composite materials at the Gulf Construction Expo, which opened in Bahrain yesterday (April 23).

Speaking about the manhole covers, Ali Mohai El-Din, eastern region manager of the company, said the composite covers have numerous advantages compared to steel manhole covers.

First of all, they less heavy compared to the steel ones and at the same time, they are capable of supporting the same wheel loads as a cast iron manhole cover.

A composite is more durable and resistant to corrosion and it is also resistant to heat and electricity, he said.

Al Zamil Industry, Trade and Transport Company was established in 1985 as a building material trading company specialised mainly in steel, cement, water tanks and water and heat insulation. In 1997 Al Zamil started its own manufacturing facility to become today the largest and leading polyethylene water tank factory in Saudi Arabia.

Its factory, with its state-of-the-art roto-moulding machines, produces water tanks with giant capacities exceeding 100,000 litres, employing a unique modular design for above and underground models.

In cooperation with a leading English manufacturer of glass-lined steel sheets, Al Zamil has come out with a solution for strategic storage tanks needing huge capacities. - TradeArabia News Service
