Oman set to develop mega affordable housing complex

MUSCAT, 25 days ago

Oman has announced the launch of a mega affordable residential complex in the Barka governorate of the sultanate, which will feature 1,000 residential units spread over a sprawling 355,000 sq m area.

Al Naseem Neighbourhood will be the first residential project under the umbrella of the Sorouh Integrated Residential Neighbourhood Project based on a partnership between the government and private sectors, reported Oman Observer.

It is being developed by the Supreme Council for Planning (SCP) in co-operation with Ministry of Housing, represented by the Directorate General for Real Estate Development, said the report.

Aimed at developing a decent and modern lifestyle for Omani citizens, the project will also boast ample green areas, cultural centres, mosques, health and commercial centres, public parks and open sports fields, it added.
