Bahrain vows quality housing for low-income groups

DUBAI, March 6, 2019

Bahrain's Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed the Housing Ministry to reconsider the new-look Mazaya Programme and to set appropriate recommendations to promote housing solutions for citizens, especially for low-income category, said a report.

HRH gave the directions while chairing a meeting of the Coordination Committee at the Riffa Palace, where he stressed the need to continue the housing achievements and services for citizens, reported BNA citing a senior MP Ahmed Sabah Al Saloum.

Prince Salman stressed that citizens were the focus of the development process and all service projects.

Lauding the Crown Prince's directives, Al Saloum said his prompt response reflects his interest in meeting citizens’ demands and following up the parliament’s reaction to public and service issues.

These directives have restored balance to the housing file in the interest of citizens, he added.
