Design International names Dubai office director

DUBAI, November 10, 2018

Design International, an innovative architectural practice with vast experience on a global scale, has appointed Mark O’Neill RIBA as the new office director for its Dubai office.
 
Regarded as one of the industry’s leaders in retail architecture, Design International has a strong presence worldwide. Originally founded in Toronto, Canada, in 1965, it is now headquartered in London (UK), with offices in Milan (Italy) Shanghai (China) and Dubai.
 
The move comes as part of its ongoing commitment to business operations in the Middle East, Africa (MEA) and India, said a statement from the company.  
 
Led by energetic and creative partners Paul Molle, Davide Padoa and Lucio Guerra, Design International is investing in the future growth of the business from its headquarters at Tower Bridge Road, it stated.
 
Following relocation and opening of its new office in Milan, the Design International has shown the industry once more that it is as much about encouraging and developing creative talents as it is about pushing the boundaries of design to meet new standards and expectations.  
 
The Milan office hosts its very own innovation hub called “DI Campus” open to eight international architectural and real estate universities.
 
This ethos is reflected in the international diversity of ts staff. A truly multi-disciplinary design studio, Design International employs interior designers, landscape architects, lighting engineers as well as graphic and branding specialists to ensure that a truly inclusive design approach can be delivered across all aspects of a particular building or development.
 
On the appointment, the UK compoany said O’Neill's appointment will help further grow and strengthen its position worldwide.
 
He is from within the senior management team with over 30 years industry experience and has worked with Top Tier contractors, developers and AJ100 practices to develop client and project directorship across several developments in the residential, hospitality, transportation, commercial and public sectors. 
 
On his new role,  O’Neill said: "I am delighted to accept the exciting challenge of directing and expanding our operations within the Dubai Office."
