Nawah Energy starts benchmarking of Musanada projects

ABU DHABI, November 5, 2018

UAE-based Nawah Energy Company said it has carried out a benchmarking exercise for the projects of Abu Dhabi's general services company Musanada.

A joint venture between the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco), Nawah Energy is responsible for operation of the Barakah nuclear energy plant in the UAE.

The purpose was to carry out a benchmarking exercise across all Musanada’s divisions to learn about best practices internally adopted and the lessons learnt from its technical teams.

Nawah Energy’s delegation visited Musanada’s headquarters to learn about the  procedures being followed by the Abu Dhabi group in managing operations and projects, and the deployed performance monitoring and control techniques and technologies.

At Musanada, the Nawah team comprising its directors and engineers was briefed on the functioning of and integration between various departments and project management across various portfolios (buildings, roads, infrastructure, housing, etc.), besides gaining an understanding of customer service standards.

Sari Al Harbi, Roads and Buildings Performance Control Director at Musanada’s Monitoring and Performance Control Division, said: "We have been keen to share with our colleagues of Nawah Energy the project management process throughout all phases and in full detail, as this would have a positive impact on the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general."

During the meeting, the visitors provided an overview of Nawah Energy’s areas of interest and the benchmarks that will serve the common interest of Nawah Energy and Musanada.

These include identification of current performance levels and possible future focus areas by following high performance levels and identifying the best national and leading international organisations to draw upon their actual experiences and follow their approach in pursuing an improved service delivery level and adoption of leading global practices through systematic collaboration and integration.

Hanadi Al Hamadi, the technical support manager at Musanada’s Facility Management Division, said: "I have been pleased to share with Nawah Energy’s engineers Musanada’s FM processes in place for managing a large number of facilities by deploying advanced and seamless systems to serve all of our clients and the community segments."

Mariam Al Qasemi, the project manager at Musanada’s Building Construction Management Division, said the importance of the visit lay in sharing mutual experiences and establishing a culture of quality and innovation, commending the objectives of the benchmarking exercise.-TradeArabia News Service
