Kuwait ring road on track; 37pc work completed

KUWAIT CITY, October 14, 2018

Work is progressing at a steady pace on the 22-km-long Seventh Ring Road in Kuwait with nearly 37 per cent of the project already completed, said a report.

The key development, being executed by the Public Authority for Roads and Transport (PART), comes as part of its country-wide road network development and upgradation project, reported Kuwait Times, citing a top official.

On completion, it will include seven intersections linking Fahaheel Road to the area near Kabd besides a part of the regional road system that links Fahaheel Road, through Seventh Ring Road and all the way to Salmy Road covering nearly 93 km, said Engineer Ahmad Al Hosan, the director general of PART.

Al Hosan said the street will boast three lanes on each side. A fourth one was likely to be added in the future as a waiting area for trucks and pedestrian bridges, he added.
