Phoenix Fire Protection Group – with offices in Dubai and Hong Kong – holds more than 15 years’ experience in the design, testing and manufacture of corrosion and fire protection coatings for use on structural steelwork.

With bases in the Middle East and Asia Pacific, the company’s skills and services will extend the reach across these regions for Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings EMEAI from its headquarters in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Ian Walker, managing director of Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings EMEAI, said: “This addition perfectly complements our geographic reach and helps us to provide an even better service to our customers on the ground.

“Our product range, combined with the local knowledge and experience of Phoenix, creates increased opportunities for us to make our mark with a diverse product range developed specifically for these markets.

“We are already working closely with our new colleagues to make sure that the benefits are passed on to the customers and end users through service and delivery excellence.”

Phoenix managing director Darren Chaplin said: “This is an excellent partnership and the two teams are excited about working together. This will enable us to deliver a comprehensive range of products for our customers across the Middle East and Asia Pacific.”

Projects supplied by Phoenix have included Disneyland Theme Park, Hong Kong, Dubai International Airport concourse, Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and Qatar Exhibition Centre.

Sherwin-Williams’ specialist range of Firetex intumescent and insulation materials has been protecting assets worldwide for more than 15 years, with added visual appeal reflected in the finished building.

Projects delivered by Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings EMEAI for these applications include The Shard, the Olympic Stadium Roof, London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 and Wimbledon Stadium Roof.
