Work on Al Nuaimia infrastructure project in the northern emirate of Ajman is progressing well and is likely to be competed by the third quarter, said a report.

Being developed at a cost of Dh150 million ($41 million), the project will see the construction of local roads and rainwater drainage networks to facilitate smooth vehicle movement, reported state news agency Wam, citing a top official.

More than 85 per cent of the work has been completed on the rainwater drainage networks, as well as the construction a 26-km-long internal road and a 33-km-long rainwater drainage network along the road in Al Nuaimia, said Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, after visiting the project site along with senior government officials.
