Empower pipeline network crosses 263 km in 2017

DUBAI, February 27, 2018

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced that its network of district cooling transmission pipelines has crossed 263 km in 2017, up 12 per cent compared to the previous year.

The company attributed this increase to its ambitious strategy to enhance its operations in Dubai, given the steady growth of its business, with new projects added to its credit in 2017.

Empower’s portfolio includes key projects across Dubai, such as "Jumeirah Village South" and the prestigious "Bluewaters". "The Opus", a commercial tower located in Business Bay, was also connected with Empower services, said a statement from the company.

Empower lately connected "W Resort Hotel & Residences", "Emerald Palace Kempinski", "ALOFT" and "The Retreat Palm" located in Palm Jumeirah with its services, it added.

"At Empower, we are committed to delivering high quality services to our clients all over Dubai. We do so by deploying advanced transmission pipelines that are compliant with international standards," said the CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar.

"We ensure that our operations are sustainable, and contribute to the sustainable development goals that are in-line with various Dubai strategies on energy efficiency launched by the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aim to make Dubai a world-wide hub of green economy and the city with the least carbon footprint," he noted.

"Our strategy is also in-line with UAE Vision 2021 that aims to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world by 2021," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
