Gensler wins Lootah's housing project in Dubai

DUBAI, February 26, 2018

Lootah Real Estate Development, one of the region’s prominent modern real estate developers, has appointed global architecture firm Gensler as master plan designer for its 1.15-million-sq-ft project in Dubai South's Residential District.

As per the agreement, Gensler will be responsible for the visioning, strategic planning, urban design frameworks, design guidelines and innovative solutions of the project, in accordance with Lootah Real Estate Development’s commitment to provide the very highest standards of living within innovative world-class communities.

Lootah Real Estate Development’s new property is located in Dubai South’s residential district, which will boast around 10,000 residential units between villas, townhouses and apartments by 2020 - housing an estimated 35,000 residents.

Adjoining the Expo 2020 site, the Logistics District and a staff village, Dubai South's Residential District includes schools, nurseries, hospitals, retail outlets, F&B options, a post office, swimming academy and a sports centre.

Executive Director Saleh Abdullah Lootah said: "We look forward to envisioning the project and witnessing its transformation into a reality. The project is part of a thriving urban area which will house some of the much-awaited project like the Expo 2020, Al Maktoum Airport, as well as the free zones and Business Park of Dubai South.-TradeArabia News Service
