Nakheel inks Palm Jumeirah beachfront project deal

DUBAI, February 13, 2018

Leading UAE-based developer Nakheel has signed a Dh80-million ($22 million) construction contract with Ghantoot Gulf Contracting for The St Regis Beach Club, an exclusive beachfront dining, leisure and fitness destination coming up on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

Due to open in 2019, the beach club project complements The St Regis Dubai – The Palm, a 289-room hotel forming part of Nakheel’s 52-storey, landmark Palm Tower, under construction nearby, said a statement from the master developer.

The beach club will feature an array of dining options, including modern, fusion concepts never before seen in the UAE. There will also be an infinity edge pool stretching almost 100 metres along Palm Jumeirah’s seafront and state-of-the-art gym and fitness facilities, it stated.

As per the contract, Ghantoot Gulf Contracting will build the exclusive beachfront facility, which will offer premium restaurants, lifestyle and fitness venues with extensive views of the Arabian Gulf.

Nakheel said the news of The St. Regis Beach Club construction comes two days after the developer had confirmed that the 240-m Palm Tower was 80 per cent complete in terms of concrete works.

Set for launch in 2019, The Palm Tower combines The St Regis Dubai - The Palm, 432 luxury residences and a rooftop infinity pool, restaurant and public viewing deck offering spectacular views across Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s world-famous skyline.

Hotel guests and Palm Tower residents will receive priority access to The St Regis Beach Club, said the Dubai-based developer in its statement.

The Palm Tower is linked to Nakheel Mall and its 350 shops, restaurants and attractions and entertainment outlets, from where the public will access the 52nd floor viewing deck. The mall is scheduled to open next year, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
