Bahrain to invite Expo City bids in Q1

Bahrain government will start inviting bids for the construction of its ambitious exhibition and convention city project during the first quarter of 2018, said a report.

The detailed designs for the Expo City project, being prepared in co-operation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, are nearing completion, reported the BNA, citing senior officials at the regular weekly Cabinet session.

The meeting was chaired by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday (November 20).

HRH Premier, who was updated on the progress of the Exhibition City project, gave directives for speedy implementation of the project, said the report.

The meeting was also attended by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, it added.
