Farnek wins Rakbank FM services contract

DUBAI, September 18, 2017

Leading UAE-based total facilities management (FM) company, Farnek, said it has been awarded a two-year contract to provide cleaning services for National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (Rakbank).

This latest contract builds on the the company's extensive client base in the banking sector, said a statement from Farnek.

Existing clients include Standard Chartered Bank, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Al Hilal Bank, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) where the company provides key services ranging from water tank cleaning to pipeline disinfection to marble polishing.

As per the deal, Farnek will be responsible for all cleaning requirements of the bank’s operation headquarters in both Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Geoff Stecyk, the chief operating officer at Rakbank, pointed out that Farnek was chosen for its solid track record in providing professional and superb cleaning services.

"We especially appreciate the company’s commitment to the environment by using sustainable cleaning materials and products wherever possible," he noted.  

Additional clients in the banking sector include United Arab Bank, Mashreq Bank and Emirates DOZ & EGTC Building, where the company provides services including maintaining mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) assets as well as the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units.

CEO Markus Oberlin said: "This agreement further strengthens one of Farnek's core business sectors, as we strive to solidify long-term partnerships with major banks across the UAE."
