Bahrain completes key sewerage network

MANAMA, September 5, 2017

Bahraini authorities have implemented the Sitra Sewerage Network 602, which involved extension of 504-m-long main connections, 405-m long sub-connections and construction of 72 inspection chambers for both the main and sub-connections.

The BD96.5 million ($254 million) project was part of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning’s strategic vision aiming to cover all populated areas in Bahrain and connect it to the network. It was awarded to Jahicon Contracting.

The project was aimed at connecting 20 houses and real estates to the network, explained Nazha Abu Hindi, the director of Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning.

The Sewerage Project in Sitra 602 was completed by the end of July, added Hindi.-TradeArabia News Service
