Russian firm seals $3.1bn Iran airport order

BAKU, July 2, 2017

Russian company Regiontransneft has been awarded a new airfield complex project in the Iranian city of Qom, estimated to be worth €2.8 billion ($3.1 billion), said a report.

According to news agency RIA Novosti, the company has begun the construction process of the complex project and also plans to build a railway station for freights and passengers and a bus terminal.

Furthermore, Regiontransneft plans to create flight training centres and centres for maintenance of aircraft in the city of Qom, the report said.
