ABU DHABI, July 1, 2017

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) said work was progressing well on seven key infrastructure developments worth Dh908 million ($247 million), including sustainable housing projects coming up in the eastern part of the emirate.

The move comes as part of Musanada’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan by delivering sustainable infrastructure that will serve the emirate’s community and economy in line with best international standards and reinforce the emirate’s leadership on an international level in this realm, reported state news agency Wam.

Saleh Al Sheibah Al Mazrouei, Musanada’s acting roads and infrastructure executive director, said the projects will cover several key areas including Al Wathba North, Al Rahba city, Al Nahda military area, Bani Yas, Al Shawamekh and Bani Yas East, stated the report.

Afraa Al Hajeri, the head of Infrastructure Section at Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (Adha), said: "We are working hand in hand with strategic partners to realise the vision of our prudent leadership to develop sustainable environment and integrated infrastructure in line with highest international standards."

"In addition, Adha intends to deliver the required infrastructure to keep pace with the constant development witnessed by the city and its demographic growth, ensuring smooth traffic movement and road safety," observed Al Hajeri.

"These strategic partnerships will meet the needs of the local community by delivering sustainable projects in the form of integrated residential complexes with highest levels of welfare and wellbeing, enhancing the social and living standards of UAE locals," she added.
