Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) said work on its Al Hayer residential project at Al Ain, UAE, being developed at a cost of Dh687 million ($187 million) was progressing as per schedule and set for handover by early 2019.

A major integrated housing project, Al Hayer boasts 300 residential plots of 2,025 sq m each, including 30 plots of 3,600 sq m each, spread over a one-million-sq-m area in the emirate, said the statement from Musanada.

This forms part of Musanada’s efforts to deliver leading housing projects, thus contributing to achievement of the objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan in the area of social development, providing decent living and ensure family stability for UAE locals and providing them best housing services.

Musanada's acting infrastructure and housing director Yahya Al Ali, said the company is currently executing several housing projects in Al Ain city spanning multiple regions, in order to provide UAE locals with high-quality houses.

These include projects such as Al Hayer residential development, which boasts commercial outlets spread over a 360 sq m area and two mosques spread over 2,700 and 900 sq m respectively, noted Ali.

According to him, all the units will meet the sustainability requirements as stipulated by UPC.

"The two-pearl system has been implemented, taking into account the requirement to satisfy the sustainability and proper urban planning needs of all residential complexes by creation of cycling tracks and paths and the design and construction of small-scale parks," he added.

Majed Hareb Al Suwaidi, the head of Government Housing Section at Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: "The Abu Dhabi government is keen on providing leading services to UAE locals to ensure their happiness and securing housing stability through strategic partnerships and continuous co-operation and coordination to realise the aspirations and expectations of UAE locals, facilitating speed delivery of housing support to them."

"Al Hayer residential project is the outcome of co-operation with Musanada," noted Al Suwaidi.
