Imdaad wins Emirates Post FM contract

DUBAI, May 21, 2017

Imdaad, a leading integrated facilities management (FM) company based in Dubai, UAE, said it has been awarded a Dh6 million ($1.6 million) maintenance contract by Emirates Post Group (EPG).

The one-year contract, with the option to extend by another two years, will see Imdaad deliver specialised integrated FM services in EPG’s branches throughout the UAE.

It includes maintenance of buildings and facilities, encompassing civil works, electrical and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and mechanical operations.

Imdaad Group CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah said: "This partnership illustrates our proven capabilities to roll out quality-driven integrated FM solutions, designed to optimize the reliability of all building services, across Emirates Post’s branches throughout the UAE."

The group manages its postal operational division and subsidiaries, which consist of Wall Street Exchange Centre and Electronic Documents Centre, offering a vast range of postal, logistic and specialized financial services.

“Preventative, including regular maintenance improves the reliability, efficiency, lifespan and operating costs of HVAC and MEP, saving companies considerable amounts of money. It also encourages a more responsible attitude towards energy management, reducing carbon emissions as well as potential water leaks, which ultimately lower utility bills.”

According to him, Imdaad has a strategic approach to sustainability and the work undertaken will go a long way to helping EPG comply with the Dubai Plan 2021, to ensure Dubai is a smart and sustainable city.

"We pride ourselves on our continuous innovation and energy management solutions. With this in mind, we intend to connect our Network Operations Centre (imtedaad) in Jebel Ali to implement energy conservation measures in EPG’s Um Ramool building," he added.

The contract which will start on June 15, will involve the mobilisation of more than 70 staff from Imdaad.

Sami Mohammed Alkhaja, the chief support services officer, said: "It was vital for us to partner with a trusted FM company with a proven track record, not only in integrated facilities management, but also in energy management."

"We also want to ensure that our branches operate as energy efficiently as possible and we feel confident that Imdaad has the proficiency to manage this process," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
