DUBAI, March 5, 2017

UAE-based Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) said work was progressing well on its cooling plants at Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT) and Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) projects and was on track to deliver 30,000 RT (refrigeration tons) in its first phase this year.

A major district cooling services provider, Empower had signed a master development agreement with Nakheel to serve Jumeirah Village South (JVS).

Lauding the progress, Empower CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar said: "I am very pleased with the consistency of work here in Empower’s JVT and JVC cooling plants. The total capacity of this project when completed will reach 260,000 RT."

"Executing such a giant project needs precision in planning and execution, and efficacy in follow-up. All these components are part of Empower’s uniqueness which helped the company to lead the district cooling service industry globally," he noted.

Bin Shafar reviewed the operational process in the cooling plants, and watched the work in the two projects.

Bin Shafar also reviewed the solutions to challenges that the workers are facing in these plants to guarantee efficiency and customer satisfaction.
