Emirates Steel showcases key product in Europe

ABU DHABI, February 19, 2017

Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, showcased its steel product range of ESZ sheet piles, at a leading European exhibition recently.

The company took part in the 12th edition of Infra Tech trade fair, the biennial exhibition for infrastructure and ground construction held in Rotterdam, with Meever and Meever, the official distributer of ESZ sheet piles for Europe region.

Emirates Steel took part in the show with the aim to boost its presence in Europe, the company said.

Meever and Meever, based in the Netherlands, is a well-known solution provider for foundation and marine construction works and has already supplied significant tonnage of ESZ sheet piles into the European market.

ESZ sheet piles are hot rolled long structural sections with vertical interlocking system that creates a continuous wall which is earth tight and water resistant and commonly used for the construction of retaining walls, bulkheads and seawalls.

Emirates Steel is the only manufacturer of hot rolled sheet piles in the Middle East and among few on the global level.

Emirates Steel sheet piles have already found their way to projects in the UAE, Africa, Europe, Canada, US, India, South East Asia. The company reported deliveries of 51,730 tonnes of sheet piles in 2016 compared to 15,360 tonnes in 2015 achieving an increase of around 236.8 per cent.
 
Emirates Steel’s current product range includes straight length reinforcing bar (rebar) and rebar in coil, wire rod, hot rolled structural steel sections (beams, columns, channels and sheet piles), in addition to value-added products; a stronger steel with higher tensile strengths and steels with special mechanical properties. - TradeArabia News Service
