Clima Uno, a renowned brand of air handling units and fan coil units, held a ground breaking ceremony to mark the start of the construction of its new purpose-built facility in Dubai Investment Park.

The company, which has its origins in Italy, is now a wholly-owned unit of the UAE-based Al Shirawi Group of Companies.

Spanning over 100,000 sq ft, the new factory will manufacture air handling units, fan coil units, energy recovery ventilators and ecology units of European grade to cater to the needs of local and regional HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) contractors.

The opening of this new facility is expected to increase the company’s production capacity by four times, said a statement from Clima Uno.

The project can accommodate a future expansion across an additional 100,000 sq ft, if required, and is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Speaking at the ground-breaking cermeony, Navin Valrani, the chief executive of Clima Uno, said: "This is a key milestone in the history of Clima Uno. The brand received a very positive response from the market in recent years, which compelled us to invest in this state-of-the-art facility."

"With the increased production capacity, we hope to serve our clients more efficiently and at a faster pace," he noted.

Clima Uno’s Eurovent-certified product range is custom-built for the region and is manufactured in a fully-integrated facility in Dubai.

Each product has been expertly designed using Unilab software and features premium components with AHRI-certified coils, UL-listed filters, AMCA-certified fans and CE-certified motors.

"There are a number of competitive products on the market, but few can promise what our brand offers:
European quality in a locally made, competitively priced product," remarked Valrani.

"Our air handling units are Eurovent-certified. In fact, each component used to create these units is certified by international, independent third-party certification bodies such as AHRI, Eurovent and UL," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
