United Real Estate Company, a leading real estate development company in Kuwait, said one of its developments - Assoufid Golf Course - has won the award for ‘Africa’s Best Golf Course 2016’ and ‘Morocco’s Best Golf Course 2016’ at the 3rd annual World Golf Awards in Portugal.

Set against the backdrop of North Africa’s snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Assoufid Golf Club is situated 20 minutes from the old town (Medina) - a Unesco World Heritage site.

The natural desert-style, 18-hole golf course, designed by Scottish PGA professional and former European Tour professional, Niall Cameron won the prestigious awards through a voting system cast by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry – senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, public (golf tourism consumers) agents and media professionals, said a statement from the company.

Supported by an award-winning portfolio as ‘Africa’s Best New Course 2014’, ‘Morocco’s Best Course 2015’ and ‘TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence’, Assoufid Golf Club’s 18-hole golf course was recognised at the annual World Golf Awards.
