Aqarmap customer base tops one million

CAIRO, September 3, 2016

Aqarmap, a leading real estate marketplace in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, has announced that the number of its registered users has crossed the one million mark.

It allows consumers to search properties that are advertised by developers, brokers, and private sellers via Aqarmap apps and its award-winning website Aqarmap.com.

“We are thrilled to hit the one million registered users’ milestone as we prepare to take our marketplace to the next level,” remarked Amad Almsaodi, the chief executive and founder of Aqarmap.

The company collects a remarkable amount of data about its registered users to help them find properties that match their needs.

“We understood the value of capturing the users’ data and using it to enhance their experience since we launched. Capturing demographic and socio-economic data in addition to knowing the exact search preferences of all these active buyers has helped us achieve profitability since 2013,” noted Almsaodi.

In 2015, more than 10,000 properties worth more than $730 million were sold via Aqarmap. The company this year expects the number to cross the $1-billion mark.

Aqarmap was established in Egypt in 2011 and later expanded to Saudi Arabia in 2014. The company said plans were afoot to expand in other Mena markets, but currently it was focused on maintaining and growing its current leadership positions.-TradeArabia News Service
