DLD unveils major Cityscape Global plans

DUBAI, August 30, 2016

Dubai Land Department (DLD) will highlight its programmes, strategic plan and objectives as well as focus on its primary role in providing a safe and sustainable real estate environment at the upcoming Cityscape Global 2016 in Dubai.

One of the largest international exhibitions specialising in real estate investment and development, Cityscape Global will run from September 6 to 8 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

During the event, visitors will get a glimpse of the latest DLD services at its stand in the Sheikh Saeed Arena Hall, said a statement from DLD.

It will provide visitors all the needed information to spread awareness in the real estate market, in harmony with its participation theme of "World’s premier real estate destination in innovation, trust and happiness".

On the expo, Sultan Butti bin Mejren, the director general of DLD, said: "We see in Cityscape an ideal opportunity for us to emphasise on our message aimed at providing a premiere real estate destination with the highest international standards, based on the latest innovations and applications that lead to safe procedures for all parties."

This year, DLD will provide an opportunity to live the real estate experience through a simulation process, that allows visitors a virtual experience for registering properties (buyer, seller, and a broker), with a thank you certificate to be handed to the participants, to raise awareness and knowledge of the laws and regulations in force in the real estate sector, and offer a range of smart solutions for real estate investments.

Bin Mejren pointed out that the department will be playing a vital role in achieving the objectives of the exhibition in terms of linking visitors and specialists pioneers in the real estate sector, to brief them on the latest trends in the real estate market, and the associated legislations, laws and procedures, in addition to applications and services that we provide to this sector to ensure smooth transactions.

"We will be showcasing the “Smart judge”, one of the most prominent initiatives of the Rental Dispute Center, the judicial arm of DLD," he noted.

This contemporary application provides critical information to both ends of the rental relationship before entering into the various stages of litigation, asking them a few questions to guide and instruct parties about whether they are entitled to file a lawsuit, after defining the problems, and then display the desired sequential manner of litigation to reach the desired result, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
