Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has announced the completion of preventive and corrective maintenance of 289 schools across the UAE emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The work was part of the action plan to raise readiness of schools for the start of the new academic year, a Wam news agency report said.

Hilal Abdullah Al Balooshi, acting executive director of facilities management at Musanada, said the company had sent engineers and specialists to the schools to assess the maintenance that they needed and scope of their work, which concentrated on the security, safety and operational work at schools, in addition to the conversion of some sections to classrooms.

Al Balooshi added that an independent administrations have been set up for Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region to speed up response to the needs of the schools.
