Ajman Sewerage 'committed to greener, cleaner city'

AJMAN, June 5, 2016

UAE-based Ajman Sewerage Private Company Limited (ASPCL), a government venture in
partnership and leading international water treatment experts Besix and Veolia, marked World Environment Day (June 5) in a big way.

ASPCL, under its community care foundation, joined over 300 residents of the emirate at an event held at the Corniche Marina Walk.

Reiterating its commitment in advocating for a greener and cleaner city, ASPCL sensitized Ajman residents about the importance of safeguarding the environment.

ASPCL outlined some of the measures that the residents can take towards contributing in this noble cause.
Some of the tips shared by the foundation included use of recycled water for irrigation purposes, fixing of leakages in the house as well as using clean water sparingly.

This comes as part of the company's effort to show solidarity in caring and protecting the environment,  stated Christophe Ledur, the general manager.

“As we mark this year’s World Environment Day, let us all re-dedicate our commitment towards protecting the environment we live in and especially our natural water resource. Let us learn to use our clean water sparingly and responsibly," he noted.

"This is not only to our benefit, but also to the benefit of our children in the future," remarked Ledur.

"This year’s event was marked with pomp and colour featuring exciting activities for children such as balloon bending, face painting as well as entertainers disguised as a water drop and a palm tree to animate the event," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
