Saudi gives $230m to fund projects in Morocco

Saudi Arabia has contributed $230 million dollars to fund health projects, agricultural development and construction in Morocco, according to a report.
As much as $80 million will be used to build the first phase of an irrigation project in Saiss, near Fez and Meknes, which another $50 million has been earmarked for the purchase of medical devices for public hospitals, said the Morocco World News report.
Meanwhile, the rest of the funds will go towards the completion of small- to medium-sized construction projects in the kingdom, it said.
The gift follows the third agreement signed at this year's Joint Annual Meeting of Arab Financial Institutions that recently concluded in Bahrain.
