Spence ... new role.

New CBRE unit offers special real estate services

DUBAI, March 23, 2016

CBRE, a global real estate consulting firm, has launched a specialised business group to support healthcare and education real estate services in the Middle East.

The healthcare and education industries are among the fastest growing markets within the Middle East region with growth set to continue as these niche sectors gain strong market momentum.

Simon Townsend, head of Strategic Advisory, Valuation and Consultancy, CBRE Middle East, said: “We are witnessing considerable interest in both the healthcare and education sectors with substantial growth projected over the next decade. We have seen both domestic and international interest surge across both asset classes and the importance of high quality market specific advice has never been more important.”

The establishment of the new business group follows the appointment of Tiana Spence as associate director. Spence brings with her eight years of healthcare and education sector experience within the UAE, the UK and Asia Pacific.

“Tiana’s global knowledge of healthcare and education real estate, and their inherent intricacies is a great strength in the region. I am confident that working closely with CBRE’s global platform of specialist asset teams in Europe, Asia and the US, Tiana will successfully drive this area of the business as we continue to position CBRE towards long-term growth,” said Townsend.

Commenting on CBRE’s expanded offering in the region, Nick Maclean, managing director, CBRE Middle East, said: “We are prepared to deliver unparalleled solutions and comprehensive real estate consulting advice to healthcare facilities across the region. In line with rapid population growth, increasing life expectancy, growing affluence, the UAE’s healthcare sector is set to experience growth in the coming years. Our focus on the healthcare sector will support clients in providing exceptional patient care and achieving greater financial success and efficiencies.”

“Education remains a key focus on the UAE’s national agenda, with the sector seeing rapid growth underpinned by a series of new education projects currently under way across the region. Dubai, in particular has emerged as a major regional education hub and this growth prompts us to provide a comprehensive range of services for both potential and existing educational entities,” Maclean concluded.

The specialist team will provide strategic advisory, market analysis, feasibility studies and valuations, as well as transactional services. – TradeArabia News Service
