Bahrain to build 25,000 new homes in four years

MANAMA, February 20, 2016

Bahrain's government has started work on its ambitious residential project which will see 25,000 new housing units beng built over the next four years, said a report, citing the housing minister.

About 13 per cent of planned units have already been constructed, Bassem Al Hamer told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

Al Hamer stressed that the projects under construction until 2017 won’t be affected by plummeting oil prices.

He reiterated the ministry’s keen interest in engaging the private sector in carrying out the housing projects.-TradeArabia News Service
