Knight Frank expands industrial, logistics unit

DUBAI, January 19, 2016

Knight Frank, a leading independent global property consultancy, has announced the expansion of its  industrial and logistics division with a key appointment in the UAE.

Andrew Marshall has been named as the senior surveyor in the Commercial Agency department where he will take the lead on Knight Frank's industrial and logistics instructions.

He will assist Knight Frank to meet increasing demand from occupiers and landlords in the industrial sector across the UAE who require additional space, aiming to downsize or vacate their accommodation, said a statement from the company.

Marshall has over three-and-a-half years’ experience in the industrial and logistics sector and has represented numerous multi-national corporations in both acquisitions and disposals of space within the UAE.

Having worked with multi-national and Fortune 500 companies, including leading logistics companies, he has hands-on experience dealing with requirements in excess of 20,000 sq m, the statement said.

Welcoming Marshall into the fold, James Lewis, head of Knight Frank UAE, said: "His arrival underscores our commitment to this sector, he brings with him a considerable insight into both the onshore and offshore industrial and logistics districts."

"Working with global corporate management teams has allowed Marshall to develop effective communication and client relation skills that have forged lasting relationships with his clients," he stated.

On his new role, Marshall said: "The industrial and logistics market in Dubai continues to show positive signs of growth with new enquiries and requirements coming through on a daily basis. We are still seeing the majority of interest coming from logistics providers who are looking to secure quality space, especially within industrial free zone areas such as Jafza and Dubai South."

"A number of units have recently come to the market within the free zone and although demand remains strong we feel that the surplus stock will assist in keeping the sales and lease prices relatively level this coming year," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
