Samsung unveils novel HVAC technologies

RIYADH, November 30, 2015

Samsung Electronics is showcasing its innovations in the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) engineering at the MCE Saudi 2015 exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The key highlight at the Samsung's expo stand will be the new Super DVM - the Digital Variable Multi air conditioner - besides its full line-up of indoor and outdoor models: slim ducted split, MSP, HSP, its new 360 Cassette air conditioning unit in four, two and one-way cassette types and new side discharge VRF (variable refrigerant flow) unit.

The company will also showcase the world’s largest next-generation DVM S capacity for single units and modules in all its sizes - 8 HP,10 HP,12 HP,14 HP,16 HP,20 HP up to the 30HP at the Saudi expo.

The event, being held under the patronage of Prince Sattam bin Khalid bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, opened today (November 30) and will run for the next two days.

The main drivers behind Saudi Arabia’s air-conditioner market growth are extreme climatic conditions, rising income levels and rapidly growing infrastructure. These factors will lead to an increase in electricity consumption and higher consumer expectations in technology advancements, said a statement from Samsung, which is the educational sponsor at the expo.

Saher Hilal, the A/C head of department at Samsung Electronics and a key speaker at MCE, pointed out that several initiatives have been taken globally to reduce the ecological footprint while enticing manufacturers to innovate in products that are easily operated, that can leverage both reliability and design and that can withstand the extreme climatic conditions.

"Companies will now be expected to not only offer complete air conditioning solutions but also create a quiet and comfortable environment for both residential and commercial buildings; by delivering on higher air quality standards including purification, temperature & air flow with centralized and independent monitoring control centers," stated Hilal.

Samsung, he said, had gained a strong foothold in the airconditioning sector, delivering not only luxurious units that cater to business and residential spaces, but also providing energy-efficient eco-friendly products with hitech HVAC units.-TradeArabia News Service
