Abu Dhabi's state-linked builder Aldar Properties reported a 9.4 per cent rise in third-quarter net profit on Tuesday.

The builder made a profit of Dh634.3 million ($172.71 million) in the three months to September 30, it said in a bourse statement.

This compares with a profit of Dh579.6 million in the corresponding period of 2014. It had reported higher profits in eight of the preceding nine quarters.

SICO Bahrain had forecast Aldar would make a quarterly profit of Dh490.7 million.

Aldar's third-quarter revenue was Dh1.18 billion. This was down from Dh1.37 billion a year earlier. State-owned fund Mubadala Development Company holds a minority stake in Aldar, according to Reuters data. - Reuters
