Saudi Build hosted over 850 companies from 38 countries.

Saudi Build sees record visitor footfall

RIYADH, November 2, 2015

Saudi Build, a leading international construction technology and building materials trade exhibition, concluded on a successful note hosting over 850 companies from 38 countries and witnessing a strong footfall of more than 16,000 trade and professional visitors.

The 27th edition of the construction event was attended by several dignitaries at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre.

It hosted over 850 companies from 38 countries in more than 25,000 sqm of exhibition space, featuring 15,000 sqm of indoor air-conditioned halls, 4,000 sqm of temporary built structure, and 5,000 sqm of open-air exhibition area, said the organiser Riyadh Exhibitions Company.

It is the only construction trade show in Saudi Arabia accredited by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.

Saudi Build 2015 impressed visitors through its unique display of the latest building technology solutions, some of which are new to the region. Many innovative products were also launched at the event, said the organiser.

The overwhelming response from visitors demonstrates the importance of Saudi Build in addressing the growing demand for construction-related products and services for a booming industry, it stated.

"The healthy infrastructure project pipeline in the kingdom has fuelled the demand for construction and building material and technology to support the growth and development, said the organiser.

Firas Al Hamidi, the marketing manager at Saudi Ceramic Company, said: "Saudi Build is an important exhibition for us which we continue to participate in every year, as it is a vital platform for us to meet our existing and new customers, suppliers, distributors, or consultants."

"This year, we had a major stand spread over 140 meters of area displaying newly launched products and we were happy with the excellent turnout on the first day. Saudi Ceramic is one of the leading companies in the kingdom and 10th in the world in the field of floor covering. As Saudi Arabia is a desert country with scarce water resources, we support the preservation of water and have undertaken various initiatives in this regard," he added.

Mohammed Ezz Al Arab, the marketing director, Pillars Projects Company, said the outcome of its participation at Saudi Build 2015 was excellent as the company was able to achieve its desired goals.

"We have been participating in the exhibition every year and have noticed new developments every time which bears good results for exhibitors. We work in the concrete business and have received enquiries from local and regional companies for heavy equipment. Such visitor interest is a good sign for the expanding Saudi market," he added.

Eyad Al Saadi, the marketing manager at Mazaya Aluminium, said: “We saw an excellent turnout this year as per our expectations at Saudi Build. Twenty-five years back, we did not see a huge attendance, which demonstrates the tremendous development and growth made by the kingdom."

"It is a lucrative market for construction with several projects underway. The exhibition is the most successful so far for us where we have signed many new contracts," he added.

The four-day event offered a tailor-made platform to exhibit solutions for the entire construction industry, including building materials and equipment; architectural finishing products; stone, marble and granite products; construction tools and technology; engineering services; infrastructure materials; and security and safety systems.-TradeArabia News Service
