Community centre to feature retail, food and beverage outlets.

Jumeirah estate to start work on new community centre

DUBAI, September 15, 2015

Work on a large new community centre at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, UAE, is likely to start early next year and is due for completion by the second quarter of 2018, said a report.

The facility, to come up in the heart of the new Al Andalus district, will feature retail, food and beverage outlets and a hotel, reported The National.

“We are awarding the contract for enabling and infrastructure towards the end of this month,” the chief executive Yousuf Kazim, was quoted as saying in the report.

According to him, the work on the project would run alongside the construction of the first two of eight planned apartment buildings in the Al Andalus district, which are set to be delivered at the same time.

The community facilities, including the 674 apartments and 55 townhomes, will serve the whole of the first phase of Jumeirah Golf Estates.

By year-end, contracts for the two (residential) buildings will also be awarded, he added.
