Desclee ... specialization is key.

Arabtec unit seeks Securitas solutions on projects

DUBAI, June 10, 2015

Arabtec Envirogreen Facilities Management (AEFM), an associate company of construction giant Arabtec, has teamed up with Securitas for providing security solutions to its key projects.

Daniel Batemans, head of Operations and spokesperson for Arabtec Envirogreen Management Services, said: “With Securitas, all of the services that we aim to offer becomes self-delivering rather than us having to provide everything all the time. At AEFM, we want sustainable growth, we want to bring something different and we want to bring something new. We are not willing to compromise on quality, and that is the key factor for us within our delivery approach.”

“Transparency and honesty differentiates us from many of the competitors. It is a difficult market but we bring something a little bit different, because we have an honest approach, we have a quality oriented approach. We know we have got the quality and it is sustainable.  Working with Securitas, we get what we are promised and it is very rare.”

Gaetan Desclee, country president of Securitas, UAE, said: “In today’s world, specialization is key. Merging specialized facility management and security services in one solution offers more value to the end consumer. It is what this partnership is about. Our strategy is clear: to integrate on site, specialized guarding services with technology solutions to achieve a higher level of customer satisfaction through cost-efficiency and added value.”

“We were looking to upgrade the security in one of our clients’ premises. We invited four security providers, and after meeting all of them, we felt that the connection we established with Securitas provided the service and quality we are seeking. We understood that we would get better, positive and quick feedback from Securitas,” Batemans said.

“We knew that we were going to get exactly what was proposed. We understood it was not going to be a case of selling a dream and receiving a nightmare. We knew we would get what was promised. When it comes to security providers, the common problems would be poor communication, poor reporting, poor quality of guarding, constant change of personnel on site and continuity of management support. We don’t experience these issues with Securitas.”

Security is often perceived as guarding, but the collaboration perceives it as a Security Solution within an Integrated Facilities management solution and does not isolate guarding in the process, a statement said.

There are incremental demands on the need for security, ranging from daily interactions with the footfall in the building to the clients and their FMs on-site right through to fire and evacuation procedures, visitor management, conflict management and a range of standard operating procedures, such as how they work on site, what training they have, what health and safety awareness they have and many different aspects.

“With Securitas, everything has been made easier. We are very happy that we are collaborating with Securitas to provide a range of services that are comprehensive solutions to address every security need. The long-standing collaboration welcomed the inroads of a strengthened expertise and experience that both players bring to the table,” Bateman concluded. – TradeArabia News Service
