Major award for five EPC projects in Bahrain

MANAMA, March 20, 2015

Five major projects in the kingdom have been selected for a major award for engineering, construction and their social and environmental impact.

They have been chosen for the MEED Quality Awards for Projects, which are being presented on May 27 in Dubai, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The five projects in Bahrain receiving awards are an Awali oil field project by Tatweer Petroleum, Solar Energy Pilot Project by Bapco, the headquarters project for the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, the Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry's Mina Salman Interchange Project and a Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and sewer conveyance project by Muharraq STP Company.

"These awards recognise the best achievements in project delivery in the region and I'm delighted these Bahraini projects have received the recognition they deserve," said MEED editorial director Richard Thompson.

Winners were also selected from Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. - TradeArabia News Service
