Zayed Crystal Spark .... the tallest tower in Egypt.

Egypt to build 200-m-high pyramid skyscraper

CAIRO, March 3, 2015

Egypt has unveiled plans to build a 200-m-high pyramid skyscraper, Zayed Crystal Spark, on an 798,000 sq m area at Sheikh Zayed City in Cairo.

The upcoming development - a mix of government, commercial, and entertainment space - will be constructed through a public/private partnership. On completion, it will become the tallest tower in the country, reported the Daily News Egypt.

The tower will be launched during the Economic Summit to be held in Sharm El Sheikh from March 13 to 15.

The project is being developed in partnership with Egypt's New Urban Communities Authority (Nuca), stated the report, citing the Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly.

The project will make its debut at the upcoming Economic Summit at Sharm El-Sheikh along with the October Oasis, staed Madbouly.

The development, located in the southern expansions of 6th of October City, will be the first housing project to be announced at the summit, he added.

According to him, Zayed Crystal Spark would be a 49-storey building composed of two pyramids – one tall and slim, and the other broad and short.

“The project consists of administrative and commercial areas and a central amusement park, in addition to the mixed-purpose Icon Tower,” said the minister.

"The height allowed for a number of floors of administrative and commercial buildings ranging from 8 to 10 floors, and up to three floors for the entertainment use, while an increase is allowed for the Icon Tower to 49 floors," stated Madbouly.
