Terex to roll out new products at Paris expo

Terex Corporation, a lifting and material handling solutions company, will be showcasing products from one of its best-selling brands, The Genie at the upcoming Intermat 2015 expo in Paris.

One of the world’s leading events for professionals in the construction and public works sector, Intermat takes place every three years at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center Paris, France.

The event brings together in one location the major players in the construction materials-production industry, and showcases equipment and techniques for the civil engineering and construction industries.

Genie, an American company owned by Terex, will be showcasing seven new and long-time best-selling products from April 20 to 25 at the Parc des Expositions, Paris-Nord Villepinte during the expo.

The highlights of the show will be the Genie GS-4069 bi-energy hybrid rough terrain scissor lift, new all-electric Genie Z-33/18 articulated boom lift, new Genie Z-62/40 diesel articulating boom lift, Genie GTH-4014 telehandler and towering Genie SX-180 boom lift.

Terex pointed out that the visitors to the Genie stand will also learn how the new service solutions package helps customers respond to changing application needs and adds value to their business.

Providing a working height of 14.12 m and a lift capacity of up to 363 kg, the new Genie GS-4069 BE hybrid scissor lift is one of the three models in the new Genie Bi-Energy hybrid scissor lift series.

These new machines are rough terrain, high performance electric scissor lifts with an integrated generator to charge the batteries and supply power to the platform and chassis.

Offering exceptionally versatile jobsite capabilities, Genie BE hybrid scissor lifts combine two operating modes to meet the needs of both outdoor jobsites with no onsite power, and indoor jobsites with sensitive noise and emission environments, it stated.

Genie SX-180 boom lift: Designed to meet the increasing challenges of today’s towering oil and gas refinery, chemical, shipyard, general construction and maintenance tasks, the Genie SX-180 boom lift is one of the highest reaching machines of its kind on the market, said the company in a statement.

Providing the benefits of both vertical and horizontal jib rotation to position workers and gear exactly where they are needed, this machine combines the benefits of high-precision access and placement up to 56.86m with a horizontal outreach of up to 24.4m.

Thanks to its compact Genie X-chassis system, the axles of the Genie SX-180 boom lift are rapidly extendable and retractable to combine the stability required on the job with a narrow profile for ease of transport, it added.

Genie Z-33/18 all-electric boom lift: Built in Europe to suit the needs of the European market, this versatile articulating Genie boom lift model weighs 3640kg and offers a ground clearance of 15 cm.

Particularly well-suited to applications on sensitive surfaces inside airports, shopping centres and theatres - in addition to routine outdoor maintenance tasks, the new Z-33/18 lift is designed to help increase efficiency on jobsites where space is tight.

Genie Z-62/40 boom lift: It benefits from significant  improvements. compared to its predecessor Z-60/34.  The Z-62/40 diesel powered boom lift increases working height from 20.39 m to 20.87 m and horizontal outreach from 11.05 m to 12.47 m.

Terex said in response to customer feedback and in compliance with upcoming exhaust emission regulations, Genie has upgraded its telehandler products.

The result is a range of new models combining enhanced productivity and operator comfort well-suited to construction, waste and recycling, industrial and logistics applications, it stated.

Focusing on energy efficiency, simple operation and innovative serviceability features for straight-forward maintenance, the newly improved models of the Genie telehandler series also feature a cabin providing excellent visibility to handle tough tasks productively and safely in virtually any environment, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
